Europan Light Bulb Sponge

Lightbulb Sponge

This life form is new to science and very little is understand about it... in your opinion... what kind of life is it?... a sponge, an underwater tree, an animal, a fish, a coral, or something completely new??

Vent Bug

Erumpto cimex or Vent Bugs – are similar to Earth’s marine flatworms. They reside at or near the vents on Europa and are a primary food source for Minos. The female Minos capture the bugs by sweeping them up in a blanket-like membrane stretched between tentacles, usually as the flatworms “fly” out from the vent. The flatworms, like the Ice Mites, can be herded using the Minos adaptation of an electrical field “net”. The male Minos can capture them at or near the vent and need to eat fewer as male Minos are much smaller than females.

Europa (cut) (Small)

Europa is the fourth largest moon of Jupiter and is about 90% the size of Earth's Moon.  It is covered in water ice and salts, and is believed to have a ocean underneath the ice, twice as large as Earth's oceans.

The Europa Clipper mission will fly close to Europa to determine if it has the ingredients to support life.
