STEM Interactives

Europa Prime is a STEM-based game. While it involves many science fiction and fantastical elements, it relates back to and is inspired by real-world science and scientists' speculations about what may be possible. Here are some experiences and other interactives that present related STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) interactives and that work on computers, phones, tables, and/or VR headsets.

Clipper path.jpg

The Europa Clipper is the first NASA spacecraft dedicated to studying Jupiter’s icy moon Europa. The mission, set to launch on October 10, 2024, will swing by Mars and then back by Earth, with each planet providing a gravity assist to slingshot the spacecraft on toward Jupiter.

Europa (cut) (Small).png

Europa is the fourth largest moon of Jupiter and is about 90% the size of Earth's Moon.  It is covered in water ice and salts, and is believed to have a ocean underneath the ice, twice as large as Earth's oceans.

The Europa Clipper mission will fly close to Europa to determine if it has the ingredients to support life.
